Local Enrolments for 2024 and 2025
Please follow the steps below to enrol at Lindfield Public School for all local Australian and New Zealand citizens or permanent residents:
- Verify that you live within our catchment zone via the School Finder
- Complete the online application
- Our School Office will contact you to make an appointment
Please bring to your appointment the following required documents (originals will need to be sighted):
- 100 Point Residential Check
- Student Passport (if possible)
- Student Birth Certificate
- Australian Immunisation History Statement
- Boarding Pass (or proof) if you entered or returned to Australia in the last two years
- Additional documents listed as specified on Enrolment Confirmation
- Visa documents if relevant
- Health Condition documentation such as an Emergency Action Plan if required
Out-of-Area (Non-local) Enrolments for 2025
In 2025 we can consider out-of-area (non-local) applications, however placement is not guaranteed. The following criteria (in order of importance) will be used to determine if our school can accommodate your child:
- Siblings already enrolled at the school
- Compassionate circumstances / Medical reasons
- Structure and organisation of the school
- Recent change in the local intake area boundaries
- Proximity and access to the school
Please note our criteria does not include student ability, performance or achievement.
2025 Kindergarten Enrolments
Enrolments for Kindergarten 2025 are now open. We ask that if your child is coming to Lindfield Public School in 2025 in Kindergarten that you please fill out an enrolment form online or at the Front Office before the end of Term 3, 27 September 2024. This will greatly help us with planning classes for 2025.
Kindergarten Orientation Visits
Children will visit Kindergarten classrooms and participate in various activities.
While the children are visiting the Kindergarten classrooms, there will be information sessions for parents/carers in the School Hall. Please attend BOTH Orientation Visits. Orientation visits for will take place on Thursday 31 October and Thursday 7 November 2024.
School Uniform for Kindergarten 2025
The Clothing Pool will be open for uniform fittings and sales throughout the year. Orders can be made online or by visiting the Clothing Pool on a Tuesday or Thursday from 8:30am to 9:30am during the school term. Online orders can be collected from the school office.
There are two uniform fitting sessions specifically for 2025 Kindergarten children. They are before each Orientation Visit:
- Thursday 31 October 8:30am to 9:30am
- Thursday 7 November 8:30am to 9:30am
Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.
Local enrolment area
Check your address on School Finder to see if it is within our local intake area. Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.
How to enrol
If you live in our intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, start by submitting an online enrolment application. Online enrolment is currently only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.
If you are not able to apply online or you prefer not to, download the paper application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form. Please complete the form in English. A translated application to enrol may help you do this.
Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment. Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.
Enrolment applications are finalised at the school.

How to enrol - Year 6 into Year 7
In NSW government schools, applying to move from primary school to high school is a 2-step process that starts with an Expression of Interest. Visit the moving to high school page to learn more about the process.
- If you have received an offer from our school for placement into Year 7 next year, the next step is to visit online enrolment to proceed with the offer and complete the enrolment application.
- If you did not submit an expression of interest or are not eligible, visit online enrolment to start a new application to our school.
- If you submitted your expression of interest using a paper form, or would prefer not to enrol online, use the application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form.

Distance education
Distance education is an equity program for students who are geographically isolated or whose individual circumstances prevent them from regularly attending school. Students must meet one of the conditions in the Distance Education Enrolment Procedures to be eligible to access this program as a full-time student.
