Local Enrolments for 2025 and 2026

Please follow the steps below to enrol at Lindfield Public School for all local Australian and New Zealand citizens or permanent residents:

  1. Verify that you live within our catchment zone via the School Finder
  2. Complete the online application
  3. Our School Office will contact you to make an appointment 

Please bring to your appointment the following required documents (originals will need to be sighted):

  • 100 Point Residential Check
  • Student Passport (if possible)
  • Student Birth Certificate
  • Australian Immunisation History Statement
  • Boarding Pass (or proof) if you entered or returned to Australia in the last two years
  • Additional documents listed as specified on Enrolment Confirmation
  • Visa documents if relevant
  • Health Condition documentation such as an Emergency Action Plan if required

 Out-of-Area (Non-local) Enrolments for 2025

In 2025 we can consider out-of-area (non-local) applications, however placement is not guaranteed. The following criteria (in order of importance) will be used to determine if our school can accommodate your child:

  • Learning and wellbeing needs requiring reasonable adjustments and/or additional education support, including cultural considerations, disability, developmental age, trauma, child protection concerns, medical and individual needs and circumstances
  • Siblings currently attending the school
  • Parent or carer works at the school
  • Proximity and access to the school
  • Structure and organisation of the school
  • Recent change in the local intake area boundaries

Please note our criteria does not include student ability, performance or achievement.


2026 Kindergarten Enrolments 

Enrolments for Kindergarten 2026 are now open. We ask that if your child is coming to Lindfield Public School in 2026 in Kindergarten that you please fill out an enrolment form online as soon as possible. This will greatly help us with planning classes for 2026. 

Parent Information Evening

Parents/Carers are invited to our School Hall on Thursday 4 September 2025 to hear about school readiness and enrolling for Kindergarten 2026. A range of speakers will address school programs and facilities.

Kindergarten Orientation Visits

Children will visit Kindergarten classrooms and participate in various activities. 

While the children are visiting the Kindergarten classrooms, there will be information sessions for parents/carers in the School Hall. Please attend BOTH Orientation Visits. Orientation visits for will take place on Thursday 30 October and Thursday 6 November 2025.

School Uniform for Kindergarten 2026

The Clothing Pool will be open for uniform fittings and sales throughout the year. Orders can be made online or by visiting the Clothing Pool on a Tuesday or Thursday from 8:30am to 9:30am during the school term. Online orders can be collected from the school office.

Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.

Local enrolment area

Check your address on School Finder to see if it is within our local intake area. Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.

How to enrol

If you live in our intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, start by submitting an online enrolment application. Online enrolment is currently only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.

If you are not able to apply online or you prefer not to, download the paper application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form. Please complete the form in English. A translated application to enrol may help you do this.

Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment. Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.

How to enrol - Year 6 into Year 7

In NSW government schools, applying to move from primary school to high school is a 2-step process that starts with an Expression of Interest. Visit the moving to high school page to learn more about the process.

  • If you have received an offer from our school for placement into Year 7 next year, the next step is to visit online enrolment to proceed with the offer and complete the enrolment application.
  • If you did not submit an expression of interest or are not eligible, visit online enrolment to start a new application to our school.
  • If you submitted your expression of interest using a paper form, or would prefer not to enrol online, use the application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form.

The Temporary Residents Program has information about eligibility and the forms to complete an application.

Distance education

Distance education is an equity program for students who are geographically isolated or whose individual circumstances prevent them from regularly attending school. Students must meet one of the conditions in the Distance Education Enrolment Procedures to be eligible to access this program as a full-time student.
