Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.
Lindfield Public School has a strong and active Parents and Citizens Association (P&C). The P&C successfully supports and enriches the quality of education of our students through:
- the provision of funding for additional teaching resources;
- co-funding of a learning and support teacher;
- purchasing of teaching aids; additions and improvements to the school facilities;
- running a variety of extra-curricular programs;
- participation in school decision making processes;
- promoting social gatherings; and
- supporting the needs of parents and carers.
These activities are only possible with the continued support of parents and community members. The P&C asks for an annual subscription from each family to enable the association to continue its outstanding work.
P&C extra-curricular programs
Lindfield Public School has an extensive and highly regarded band program that was established in 1979!
Through music, children can find a way to channel their energy and ability into something purposeful and creative.
The Strings Program at Lindfield Public School (LPS) aims to offer an inspiring and holistic string education to all participating students.
We believe playing an instrument is one of many ways to allow a child to learn to grow using music education as their foundation.
The not-for-profit LPS swimming program provides opportunities for swimming teaching and training to all children in the School community, ranging from those learning to swim to our elite swimmers.
For all swimming program information including class times/schedule, fees and more please visit our website.
The Lindfield Public School Chess Club is open to all Lindfield Public School students in Years 2-6 who are interested in chess. No experience required.
We hold professional coaching sessions with coaches provided by the Sydney Academy of Chess and also participate in inter-school competitions.
Supporting business in our local community 'Lindfield Lanes' offers an advertising opportunity on the LPS P&C website.
If you would like your logo and a linked page in the Lindfield Lanes the cost is $40 per term.

The P&C raises funds for the school, runs the music, swimming and chess program, operates the canteen and uniform shops, and runs a number of events throughout the year. But we cannot do it alone. We need your help and we would love to have you on board.
Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. Please fill in the P&C Volunteer Form and we will be in touch to get you started.
